Captain Frank Wasson is a
transplanted Yankee, but Gary hired him to run the Spree anyway.
He was born in Spokane, WA in 1963, and moved to Maine when
he was 2 years old. He joined the Navy at 17, and spent the
next 8 years bumming around the Pacific. Frank learned to dive
on Johnston Island (where???) in 1996, and became a PADI instructor
in 1997 on the island of Maui. He spent a year as a contract
scuba instructor in St. Lucia, then spent 6 months as Engineer
onboard the M/V Caribbean Explorer diving St. Kitts and Saba.
He was second Captain of the M/V Spree in 1998, and has been
senior Captain ever since. Frank married his lead divemaster
Melanie in November 1999. Captain Frank looks forward to welcoming
